Last holiday...i spent my time to download and watch this movie. The Director and list of cast (Jude Law, Keira and Matthew Mc. Fadden) makes me wondering and expecting this movie to be as good as Pride and Prejudice which is still being my best Movie.
I don't want to talk about the story or the synopsis because you can easily find it in imdb http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1781769/ . I just wanna write about what my opinion based on my point of view about the theme of this movie which is adultery. This movie didn't judge this type of adultery is wrong or right...
Anna Karenina who has a good husband and family, fall down on her knees and became outcast of her society because of love (or lust??). When some Man cheating behind his wife's back people will understand, forgive him and says it is in their nature. but when a woman cheating with another man it's GREATEST kind of sin. Yes it is so double standart (remember the scarlett letter?) but c'est la vie...life is not fair.
And one lesson from this movie is sometimes God know what's best for us...The Sparkling, handsome, wealthy and powerful man and finally she married with ordinary man who really love her and happily ever after. Soulmate not always the perfect one, but the perfect for us...
